read more ›I realized a few years ago that my passions are helping people individually and working with the body. And that my body does not like the stress of academia. So I quited a long academic carreer to further my training in bodywork, trauma work and tantra to create a bodywork style that is my own, covering emotions, mind and body. I had been practicing bodywork for over 30 years by then, but I had never done it professionally. You see, for me, healthcare is a basic human right, and women are in general underserved by the medical community, which is why i decided to focus most of my work to women's health.
I specialize in trauma release and sexual healing for women that I infuse with gynaecological massage, craniosacral, tantric, energetic, myofascial release, bone setting, Swedish, NeuroKinetic Therapy, Compasionnate Inquiry, stretching therapy, Chi Nei Tsang, Karsai Nei Tsang and a few more depending on the needs of the client. My sessions are typically long, lasting 3-6 hours, as I work on the entire body. However, I try to keep my fees relatively low as compared to other practitioners because women are in general underpaid and often could not afford enough sessions to fully heal. I also charge less for teenagers and very little for children, because, as a society, we need the next generations to be healthier than the past ones if we want to eliminate the cycle of poverty and abuse in the world.
If you have sustained trauma, your body likely stores traces of it as pain or dysfunctions. This is why I normally focus on trauma while I work on the body. Even traumas from past generations in your family can lead to physical and emotional issues. On the physical level, I can probably support your healing if you suffer from incontinence, vulvodynia, pudendal neuralgia, pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, vaginismus, anorgasmia, loss of libido, lack of sensitivity in the genitals, pelvic chronic pain, dyspareunia, etc.
In a typical session, you can expect a long indepth discussion about your needs, our respective boundaries, your current situation and your history, massage of the entire body to release physical tensions, trauma, and emotional blockages, genital or rectal work if needed to address trauma, gynaecological or sexual issues, and finally a discussion with my observations, my suggestions, and exercises. Of course a session can be shorter and address only a specific issue, but the impact is not as deep and durable.
I also offer training on a regular basis. The two-week training on Women's pelvic floor bodywork is offered 2-3 times a year, whereas anatomy and general bodywork courses are offered upon request. I also often offer private or semi-private training.
Finally, I am always available for free support on pelvic floor and women's health issues over the internet. Just drop me a note!
