Rediscover yourself with Tantric Massage Therapy on Koh Phangan
Many visitors come to Thailand to take a break from the pace and stress of Western lifestyle. Koh Phangan island is a well known destination for self-development, yoga, workshops, and a range of holistic therapies.
If you’ve been feeling disconnected from your body - including your sexuality, burned out, experiencing erectile dysfunction, or would like to start a new journey of sexual expression, then authentic Tantric-Taoist bodywork sessions on Koh Phangan are for you.
What is real Tantric Massage?
- Harness Sexual Life-force Energy:
Our bodies, and the natural environment around us is full of primal life-force, known in Eastern traditions as Jing-Chi. Sexual energy is an important part of Jing-Chi, and recognised as an essential component of wellness, vitality and longevity. Both Tantra and Taoist (Ancient Chinese) practices and therapies focus on restoring balance of the mind, body and spirit, and supporting the body’s innate capacity for vitality, expansion and self-healing.
Certain Tantric yoga and martial arts practices for men also include techniques for cultivating and harnessing Jing-energy for healthy erections, and for moving sexual energy throughout the whole body (also known as ‘full body orgasm’).
These life-long tools for enjoyment, virility and health are often explained and taught to clients during Tantric-Taoist sessions through personal consultation and bodywork. The practices are also an important addition for yoga and martial arts students visiting Koh Phangan.
- Therapeutic Tantric Massage:
Some Tantric-Taoist practitioners also offer a therapeutic approach, and support men with sexual challenges including premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction; shame and strict cultural conditioning around sex; prostate health (link to blog); ending of relationships; and body confidence in a space free from judgement.
It’s important to work with a professionally trained practitioner who is certified in Trauma Awareness and has additional training in consent and boundary frameworks, and authentic communication skills.
- Tantric Massage and Releasing Old Conditioned Patterns:
Tantric healing sessions can also help clients to release old conditioned patterns and beliefs around sexuality that no longer serve them. Many men carry cultural conditioning about how they’re supposed to ‘perform’ sexually, which can create pressure and a feeling of inadequacy.
Tantric coaching and bodywork on Koh Phangan offers a fresh approach to male sexuality, and supports men with letting go of conditioning and cultural baggage.
- Authentic Tantric Massage vs Sexual Services:
Real Tantric massage not a sexual service. Tantric-Taoist professionals are clothed, and guide men into an experience of their own body, rather than offering mutual touch.
Intimacy and connection with ourselves is the foundation of any Tantric experience, and dropping deeply into receiving touch can offer revelations about the mystery and beauty of our own body.
- Tantric Massage on Koh Phangan:
'When we become deeply intimate with ourself, then we can become deeply intimate with another person'.
Authentic Tantric-Tao Massage, combined with the beautiful natural environment of Koh Phangan, offers a gateway to deep personal transformation, sexual expansion, and a journey back to health and wholeness.
A Fresh Look at Sexuality on Koh Phangan
How would it feel to step out of your daily routine, and take some time for yourself to focus on self-care, revitalisation and learning new skills? Sometimes just taking a break from a regular environment can offer a fresh perspective on life, including looking at aspects of our sexuality which we’d like to transform or develop.
Tantric-Taoist sessions in Koh Phangan are offered in a comfortable, caring and confidential space where you can be yourself, and start letting go of the stress and strain of daily life.
Here are some key ways in which Tantric-Taoist practitioners support men with letting go of stress and challenges of Western living, and exploring a fresh approach to sexuality.
Coming back into the Body from the Head:
Many men share that they are often 'in their head' during intimacy, and feel a disconnection with their body, including the pelvic area. Tantric-Taoist sessions focus on ‘embodiment’, which means helping clients come back into connection with their body by noticing sensations and feelings during bodywork.
Embodiment helps to restore a deep sense of self-connection, presence, grounding, and also offers new discoveries about what can be experienced and enjoyed by the body.
Specialist Prostate and Genital Massage:
Sessions in Koh Phangan can include specialist pelvic bodywork including therapeutic prostate massage, and Tantric-Taoist testicle and lingam massage for health and vitality.
Letting go of the need to 'Perform':
Tantric-Taoist sessions create space to notice and unravel cultural beliefs and conditioning around how a man should ‘perform’ sexually. Clients are introduced to Tantric-Tao approaches and male sexual practices, which offer a fresh perspective on sexuality that’s not orientated towards performance.
Learning ‘Sexual Kung Fu’ practices:
Many practitioners teach traditional Taoist male practices during sessions, including sublimation (separating orgasm and ejaculation), and how to move sexual Jing-Chi energy throughout the body for full-body orgasm experiences. These ancient techniques were traditionally taught to men for maintaining vitality, longevity and to ‘last longer’ in bed. They are an interesting addition to martial arts training on Koh Phangan.
Nurturing and Relaxation:
Many of us lead busy and stressful lives, with little opportunity for self-care or time to receive touch. Sessions go at a gentle pace that is suited to each client, allowing the body to unwind and let go. After the session, clients are encouraged to integrate by swimming in the ocean, or walking along one of the many beautiful beaches on Koh Phangan.
Energising the Body:
An important focus of Tantric-Taoist massage is to open essential energetic pathways that optimise the flow of vital Jing-Chi lifeforce. Tantric bodywork originates from Yoga, which is based on the Nadi energetic system, whilst Taoist massage is connected with Chinese meridian pathways. It’s a holistic approach, viewing sexual wellbeing as the whole body, not just the pelvic area.
Managing Daily Stress:
Specialist bodywork helps to bring clients back into the ‘rest and restore’ state of the nervous system. Some practitioners teach nervous system regulation during sessions and help clients to move from stress and overwhelm back into the parasympathetic resting state. Nervous system regulation is a life-changing tool for Western living, and is taught through consultation and bodywork.
Receiving Touch: Become Intimate with Yourself:
Men often find themselves in the role of a ‘giver’ during intimacy, and in life generally. Authentic Tantric-Taoist bodywork sessions offer an opportunity for clients to fully receive. They can focus completely on their own body, and come into deeper connection with the sensations and feelings that arise.
Tantric-Taoist Massage Sessions on Koh Phangan can also Support Men with:
-
Erectile dysfunction (ED):
Many men experience difficulty in getting and maintaining an erection at some point in their lives. Sessions focus on identifying and working with root causes through personal consultation, specialist bodywork, and self-practice exercises.
- Premature Ejaculation (PE):
PE is very common, but many men are ashamed to talk openly about it and seek support. Sessions include an in-depth client case history, and specialist bodywork to look at and work with underlying causes of PE, which are usually both physical and psychological.
- Prostate Health:
Prostate wellness is an important health topic for men. Therapeutic Tantric-Taoist prostate massage can support men with maintaining a healthy prostate gland, including men who have never had prostate massage before. Some practitioners also support men after prostate cancer and prostatectomy.
- Learning Tantric-Tao male practices:
Tantric-Tao male practices can be learned by men from all backgrounds and at any age, and are taught through personal coaching with theory and bodywork.
- Reconnecting with the body after emotional and physical trauma:
Sessions can support men with reconnecting with their body after trauma. Areas of emotional or physical trauma are respected, but not worked on directly, as trauma resolution is a separate specialist therapy.
- Support with chronic health conditions:
Tantric-Tao massage can support men living with chronic health conditions. Nurturing bodywork can be combined with Vortex energy healing therapy to bring more ease and vitality into the body.
- Sexual addictions:
Some practitioners support men with understanding the underlying causes of sex addictions, through a somatic bodywork approach.
Tantric Massage Sessions - What to Expect:
Before the Appointment:
- Professional Tantric-Taoist practitioners offer a free online consultation before booking appointments. This gives an opportunity to ask questions, and for the practitioner to explain more about how they work. It’s important for prospective clients to read testimonials and check out online information about the practitioner to be sure that they are professionally trained.
- After making an appointment, the practitioner will ask a new client to fill out a confidential questionnaire to give more details about their general health, needs and focus for the session.
What To Expect During the Session:
- Sessions begin with time for personal consultation and sharing in a confidential and caring space. The consultation can also include theory and explanation about Tantric-Tao practices for men.
- The practitioner will discuss consent and boundaries with the client to co-create a safe space for the bodywork, and encouraged to express any needs that come up during the session.
- Then the client receives a sequence of specialist bodywork including Tantric-Tao and other massage techniques. They are encouraged to stay present as the practitioner guides them deeply back into connection with their body.
- Practitioners offer a range of massage techniques together with Tantric and Tao bodywork. Clients can receive sessions fully clothed, or receive warm oil bodywork on the whole body.
- A first session may include therapeutic prostate massage, if discussed and agreed during the consultation. The prostate massage takes place at the end of the session, after relaxing and nurturing bodywork on the back of the body. It generally lasts from 10-15 minutes for new clients, and is a gentle procedure that helps relieve internal stress and tension.
- Sessions may also include genital massage for health and wellbeing, including pelvic floor, testicles and lingam massage. Sexual energy isn’t released through ejaculation, as clients learn how to harness the life-force energy, and move it up through the body.
- Some practitioners also offer energy healing as part of sessions, including Reiki and Vortex Energy Healing Therapy, to support transformation and integration.
After the Session:
- The practitioner will contact the client the following day to check how they are doing.
- Some practitioners also send follow up suggestions and links so that clients can continue the experience when they return home.
- Online consultation may be offered as follow-up for some clients.
More about Koh Phangan:
Koh Phangan island is a treasure in the Gulf of Thailand, with many beaches and a large area of primary rainforest. It’s home to an increasing international community of remote workers and digital nomads, and a popular destination for travellers in SE Asia.
There are direct flights from Bangkok, Phuket, and other major Thai cities to the neighbouring island of Koh Samui. Koh Phangan is a short ferry ride from Koh Samui with regular daily ferry crossings (best booked in advance).
There are a wide range of accommodation options on the island. The North-West side of Koh Phangan is generally quieter and is where most of the yoga schools, detox and workshop centres are located. Some beach areas on the East side of the island are less developed and can only be reached by boat.
